DJ was working on putting together his costume, his plan was to dress as Stevie Ray Vaughn, and play some blues such as "Pride and Joy." Being the music teacher had it's advantages, he already had the mic stand, his own guitar, and a similiar hat; but what he was missing were some feathers. SRV was known for keeping in touch with the old American West, and usually had some sort of eagle's feathers. He decided to go feather hunting throughout the dormitory.

DJ knocked on the door of one of the new teachers, "Hello anyone home? It's DJ the music teacher," he said through the closed door, hoping to reassure the room's occupants that it wasn't students playing a prank.

"Just a moment!" came the reply, certainly occupied. That was a Londoner accent if ever there was one. Soon enough the door opened and there... she... was...

Blonde. One piece outfit. A little TOO short but not tasteless. Gossamer wing props from her back. Cute little shoes with little white pom poms on the front. The thin tail swishing behind her was being gathered up as she opened the door. "Oh, hello there. DJ, you said. Name's Rebecca, it's nice to meet you. What can I do for you?" she opened the door the rest of the way to invite him in.

"Rebecca, it's nice to meet you too. I hate to just barge in and ask favors but the feather and beads I ordered to decorate my hat haven't arrived and I was hoping that you might have some," DJ said in a Southern American accent.

"I, umm, I might. Lemme go have a look." Truth be told Rebecca didn't really have much of anything. She had to leave with what she could pack, and what all she accumulated in her time here was essentially everything she had to her name really. Though, that just means you pick up the damnedest things.

"Something like this work?" she held up a feather boa, a bit of a Hawaiian themed leftover from a get together earlier. The feathers were white, and more downy fluff than elegant feather. "I might have a proper feather somewhere, if you have the time to let me dig for it?"

"I can wait if you think you might have one. My apologies for not coming by and introducing myself sooner. I've been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest since the school year started. I came in at the last minute and I've had to plan and coordinate music for every class," DJ explained before taking a deep breath and releasing it in a heavy sigh. "It's been an enjoyable task, but it can get overwhelming."

"I'm still getting back into the swing of things with the classes." Rebecca admitted, "Still kinda getting my feet under me. Feet? Paws? Whatever." she giggled as she started going through a few accessory pieces. "Hmm, how's this? Just a feather or two, but certainly better than pillow fluff." she offered, removing a rather nice red feather from a necklace piece.

"And hey, don't worry about it. I didn't make an effort to introduce myself to the faculty yet either. Not exactly much of a teacher conference around here." she said with a smile, offering the feather. "It's a lot. Maybe since we teach the humanities, maybe we can coordinate? Music and Art theory, a collab." she offered with a soft smile. "We can look at album covers and try to figure out the headspace of the artist."

"These will work perfectly," DJ said accepting the feathers. "I definitely think we should do a collab, maybe I'll play music while you speed something. I've heard of it being done but haven't seen it. Marrying two different skill sets like that too would be a great demonstration for the kids to maybe think outside the box when it comes to working with people and their powers too."

She gave a nod, straightening her dress a bit, "I mean, that does sound like a lot of fun. If nothing else, we can play loud music through big speakers and throw paint at the wall to see what it looks like." she offered, "But first, lesson plan." she giggled. "If nothing else, I think there's merit in cooperation. Like you said."

"I agree totally," DJ said with a grin, "Do you sing by any chance? If you did maybe next year we could pull off Sonny and Cher," he laughed as he finished his sentence.

"Oh, umm, I'm not really good. Only really can sing in the shower. Even then my last critic was a rat, and she always told me I sound nice. Besides, isn't Cher like, really tall?" she giggled then thought for a second, "I guess I could learn to fake a few lines. Singing's as much an art as it is a type of music."

She looked at herself in the mirror, "You really think I could pull of Cher?" a pause, a smirk, "Or was I going to be Sonny?" she giggled.
