| Powers | Bio-Aura, Transform: Marble gargoyle, Gliding | |
| Powers Description | Bio-Aura: Protects and affects Beyle’s equipment and clothing when she transforms into her marble gargoyle form, thus preventing her clothes or equipment from being damaged. The drawback is that while in gargoyle form, she cannot access any items in or on her clothing/body. This ability automatically takes affect when she whistles. Alter form into a Marble Gargoyle: Her Gargoyle form is pure white alabaster marble with blood red veins. Her hair turns blood red; she also sprouts blood red bat-like wings; her lips turn blood red, and her fingers turn into vicious claws capable of ripping into 1/8-inch steel plates. She also gains the ability to glide, not fly, from any height to a lower height. To use this ability, she must whistle to change form to either Gargoyle or back to human This ability comes with the price of extreme pain on transforming and after transforming back into her human form she must either consume 450 milliliters of (approximately 15.2 ounces) of whole blood or eat 450 grams (approximately 16 ounces) of raw beef; or her skin gets increasingly translucent. Also, upon return to human form she develops deep, garish purple-red scars, about 3.81 cm (1 ½ inch) wide and follows along the lateral border of her scapula on her back, and bleeds profusely for a half-hour. These scars are permanent and will occasionally bead blood along the scar line. |

Beyle gives off a very slight glow (about 12 lumens – that of an average candle). Cliodhna would love to find the Russian GRU agent that was assisting the Red Branch Knights; splinter group of the Red Hand Commando. She also has no qualms of tracking and taking down members of the Red Branch Knights. This organization is responsible for her injuries, as well as the death of many of those under her command. She despises the Red Branch Knights as they support any terror organization or criminal organization that support Ulster Loyalist in Northern Ireland. | Personal History | Cliodhna was born on August 18, 1962. She is the youngest child of retired Colonel Ruaridh Scrymgeour and Iseabal Scrymgeour, a retired MI6 agent. Her family has a long and storied military tradition; that can cast a long shadow. Her older siblings, Captain Jace Scrymgeour and Seraphina Scrymgeour, have followed this military tradition. Adding their own contributions to the family's legacy. Cliodhna was expected to follow suit. From an early age, her world has been structured by schools. She was enrolled at George Heriot’s School, Edinburgh, beginning with preschool. It was an early indoctrination into discipline and academic rigor. She absorbed knowledge, excelling in every subject. Cliodhna graduated Suma Cum Laude, having shown exceptional aptitude. She was then accepted to the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. She studied education with an emphasis on physical education. She also participated in the Universities Officer Training Corps. She earned a Certificate in Management and Leadership from her Officer Cadet training (accredited by the Chartered Management Institute) and a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). She then enlisted into the United Kingdom Army. Her military career commenced with the rigorous application process to become an officer in the U.K. Army. She first had an initial interview; she met with a recruiter to discuss her interest and suitability. Then came the Army Officer Selection Board. It consisted of a two-day assessment focusing on physical and practical exercises. This was then followed by a four-day assessment to evaluate leadership and teamwork skills. She passed the AOSB and then was sent to complete a pre-commissioning course, which includes medical checks and uniform issuance. She was then finally sent to Training at Sandhurst to undergo a 44-week training course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, focusing on leadership, management, and military skills. She then was selected to become an Intelligence Officer. She once again excelled and proved beyond doubt her skills. She became fluent in Russian, Farsi (Persian), German, Irish Gaelic, as well as French and her native Scottish Gaelic and British English. Cliodhna had learned French at a young age as it helped her to understand her uncle Paul Isaac Welsa and aunt Zipporah Z. Wolfson-Welsa when her family visited them during holidays at the family villa in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France (French Riviera). Her stellar performance was rewarded and recognized she was promoted to Lieutenant after the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. She was also sent to train on an eight-week course run by the Special Air Service. After completion she was assigned to the Special Reconnaissance Unit (14 Field Security and Intelligence Company). She was shipped to East Det, based at the Palace Barracks, in Belfast. Cliodhna was part of the point on the tip of the spear. It was during a particularly harrowing mission three years ago that Cliodhna’s life took a catastrophic turn. The detail of the mission remains in a highly classified report. The essence of the mission involved the infiltration of a heavily fortified stronghold belonging to the off-shoot sect of the Red Hand Commando, known as Red Branch Knights. Cliodhna’s team was the lead for the mission and soon found themselves in an ambush where they were overwhelmed. The team found themselves in a desperate fight for survival. During the chaos, Cliodhna was exposed to an experimental mutagenic agent, meant to augment soldiers’ capabilities but had unpredictable and horrific side effects. The agent wreaked havoc on the DNA of Cliodhna. The pain that was wracking her body from the mutagenic was reknitting her very essence. The mission has become a catastrophic failure, and Cliodhna was left a shell of her former self. The milky film over her right eye became a stark reminder of the blast that had almost claimed her sight. Her face baring the jagged scar below her eye, an etching of the mission. The operation’s failure and the loss of her team is a wound that will never truly heal. However, the terrible experience caused something else to emerge. The mutagenic agent had aroused latent abilities in her. Her natural combat prowess became an almost precognitive instinct. It allows her to subconsciously adapt her fighting style to any opponent or situation. The power requires a constant, almost meditative hum, to remain focused. The agent has also unlocked a terrifying connection to an ancient, primal power. When she whistles, a protective bio-aura shimmers around her; that protects her gear and clothing during her transformation into that of a marble gargoyle. She becomes a creature of pure alabaster with blood-red veins upon the surface; her hair and wings mirror the same vibrant hue. Her transformation is accompanied by a chilling whistling sound. While she also gains the ability to glide from any height. The price of this transformation is immense. The transformation itself is pure visceral agony. Upon reverting back to her human form, she is consumed by a gnawing hunger. To stave off a debilitating translucence that accompanies the reverting to human, she must consume a significant amount of whole blood or raw beef. The transformation leaves her with permanent, deep purple-red scars along the lateral borders of her scapula. These scars will periodically weep blood, a physical reminder of the price of the power. Cliodhna refused to succumb to despair over what had happened. After a year of medical rehab and treatment; more like “Probe and Prod” as Cliodhna would put it, she accepted a medical discharge and went back to school at the University of Strathclyde. She studied and earned a PGDE secondary modern languages teaching degree in French. She figured it would help her find a career as an educator in Scotland’s many schools. Cliodhna Scrymgeor, is a who woman walks two paths. By day she is a physical education teacher. Her slim, diminutive physique, and copper red hair is a familiar presence. Her turquoise eyes, one which is marred by a milky veil, surveys students with a mixture of watchful intensity and warmth. She tends to favor dark and elegantly styled lace clothing, as well as her signature blood red choker, with mesh red copper weaved into the lace, a reminder of almost dying from a garrote attack on her last mission. She always has a faint imperceptible glow, a reminder of the effect of the mutagen that is in her veins. When the call to action arises, she becomes a force of nature. A gargoyle of marble that is driven by her past. |
