Personal History		Constantin was born and raised in the bayou of Louisiana. He of course attended school as was mandatory for all children but when he wasn’t at school, he was either working on the family farm or he was out hunting and being in nature. What he hunted however was not like most. While the rest of the country might hunt deer or rabbit, he hunted all manner of things. Rabbit, squirrel, possum, snake, anything he could set his sights on really, and of course, gators. When he wasn’t hunting them, he was studying them. He had a curiosity for all things living both plant and animal. Everything was all well and good until his powers manifested themselves. When he was sixteen, he was working on the family tractor and had forgotten to disconnect the battery. His hand landed on the terminals on top of the battery and the electricity raced through him. However, instead of pain or his body growing rigid he felt energized. He saw a rat moving through the hay and without thinking he waved his hand at it and was shocked as he watched electricity arch from his hand to the rat and kill it. Thankfully, no one was around to see it. He did his best for the next two years to keep it to himself but as well as to earn himself some favors with the local “organizations”. Once he graduated high school, he used those favors to get forged documents for a new identity. Using those documents, he joined the Marines. His primary MOS was in EOD. He enjoyed making things go boom. But he never forgot his agricultural roots and made sure to keep up with it as much as he could. Everything was going well as two years in he was selected by MARSOC to train and become part of Force Recon. However, as with all good things, it was not meant to last. His squad was overseas handing peacekeeping operations when they were set upon by guerilla fighters. It was raining which made combat difficult already. They were pinned in and cut off from retreat. The enemy was moving in when he felt a tingling in his skin. That didn’t bode well. In the next instant a bolt of lightning from the storm came hurtling down and hit him. Using the energy, he redirected it at the guerillas and incapacitated all of them with the electricity. He saw the question in the eyes of his squad as well as the fear. Making it back to base he quickly grabbed his civilian clothes and his actual legal identification papers and left base before anyone could stop him. He was able to have his bank wire him the money from his previous account and he then burned the fake ID and paperwork. Using the money he made the trek from Bosnia through Slovenia, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and hopped on a ship to the UK. He knew he would be hunted by the military not just for being AWOL but to either be killed with the prejudice against mutants going on or to be harnessed and used as a weapon with no chance to live life for himself. They would be looking for a Jake Vasco however not Constantin Gautreaux.
