| Personal History | DJ grew up in small town outside of Mobile, Alabama. His father was a Doctor and his mother was a nurse. He was exposed to the arts from a young age and developed an ear for music, which included perfect pitch. After demonstrating an uncanny ability with music his parents began sending him to private lessons for guitar and piano lessons. DJ began developing his powers during his Junior year of High School, after a disagreement with his brother. He started strumming his guitar angrily and the soundwaves obliterated his father's garage door. He learned to practice with his powers secretly and only revealed them to his father. DJ attended Troy University using a musical scholarship and graduated with a double Major in musical arts and teaching. His goal was to give back to the community through music, and by making the streets safer. Since graduating from college DJ has traveled overseas as a volunteer with various relief agencies. His work has taken him to many countries where he has helped teach music to many children. Throughout his travels DJ found it easier to travel from the UK versus the US due to shorter flights. Now that he is over 30 DJ is looking for more of a permanent position instead of living out of a suitcase for months at a time. Combining the skills he has been given as well as those he honed through training, DJ patrols the streets and skies as Soundwave. |
