Nessie is an experimental high-tech supersonic aeroplane made by Concorde. It's official designation is the Concorde 1001 but it's colloquially known as Nessie since the hanger that it resides it is hidden from sight by virtue of being build under the water of the Loch that Avalon Institute is built on.

The plane is capable of supersonic flight, being able to reach speeds of up to Mach 3. In addition, the special materials on the hull absorb most forms of detection making it invisible to most regular detection methods employed to track planes. Nessie doesn't have armaments and is primarily used as a way for the Quantum Knights to get to and from high-priority locations quickly. With it's Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) capabilities the plane doesn't require a runway, and as such is capable of getting to remote locations without much effort.

With the primary function being personnel transport Nessie can comfortably hold a dozen passengers on top of the 'crew compliment', which allows six people to be seated in a cockpit area separate from a cargo area in the back.

Nessie's hangar is located in the private (and secret) wing of the Avalon Institute that's used by the Quantum Knights as their base of operations. The win also holds the Quantum Knights Barracks, the Strat-Room, the Danger Room, and GWENN.
